An agreement was reportedly made prior <br />to the song's release that would allow Grande to <br />use "My Favorite Things" as inspiration. According to 'The New York Times,' 90% of royalties was <br />satisfactory to both parties in order to release the song. Though Grande is only making a small <br />percentage on the song, her album, <br />'Thank U, Next,' is ripe with hits. She recently became the first artist <br />since the Beatles to hold the No. 1, 2 and 3 spot <br />on the 'Billboard' Hot 100 chart.
